Wrap and Platform workshop - ½ day:

The FSA have just published their response to their consultation on Platforms and Wraps, snappily entitled FS08/01.
This emphasizes that Advisers and firms need to understand the implications of using Wraps and Platforms, and have a strategy to communicate benefits and drawbacks to clients.
At the same time, they are looking at the use of SIPP's, and raising similar points of concern.

Supervisor Refresher workshop - 1 day:

The focus of this workshop is to update your knowledge of the Supervisory role, and refreshing your skills in the critical areas of Coaching, Assessment and Feedback. This is ideal for experienced Supervisors / Managers/ Compliance Monitoring Staff who want to brush up on their knowledge and skill. It is a real refresher!

Client Management Skills Workshop – 1 day:

The focus of this workshop will be on gaining, refreshing and reinforcing practical Client Management Skills. These will include: Why do people buy? Appropriate questioning skills? How does TCF impact on the advice process? What the FSA expects from your firm and Advisers and how to manage these processes in your
business in a commercial way.

This workshop will be especially appropriate for Paraplanners, Newly qualified Advisers, Advisers transitioning from other roles and regimes.

Senior Management Issues and Responsibilities – 1 day:

The focus of this workshop will be to provide a good overview of current issues for busy Senior Managers, Directors and Principals of IFA practices. The topics under discussion will cover, but are not restricted to, the following issues :

- Myths and fact
- the FSA expectations of Senior Management?
- Principles Based Regulation
- Key points about the RDR
- What are the key RDR business models?
- TCF, MIFID, RDR and other acronyms
- what’s next in regulatory terms
- Managing risk in an IFA business

Paraplanner workshop - 1 day:

We have been asked by a number of firms to look at specific training for Paraplanners. There are many different variations of the Paraplanner role, mainly depending on the IFA business you happen to work for. This workshop looks at each of the different roles and the responsibilities of each and looks to equip Paraplanners with the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to fulfill their role within the business, in whichever form it takes.

Competent Supervisor Workshop – 2 days:

It has been described as ‘The Supervisor Workshop for the reluctant Supervisor’!

This workshop is aimed at people new to the Supervisory role. This is a two day intensive workshop with the aim of training and assessing those new to the Supervisory role. This will cover all the areas expected by the FSA, including the T&C Rule book, Monitoring and Assessment, Coaching skills and Feedback and the Training process
