We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
Job Title: Research and Technical assistant
Based at: Eden Point, Three Acres Lane, Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire, SK8 6RL.
Position reports to: Julie Hardie (Research Manager)
Job Purpose Summary:
You will undertake a variety of activities within the research team, providing proactive research/analysis support for the department, company and clients, whilst being actively involved in a busy and changing environment.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Maintenance and development of product and fund research panels, model portfolios and data analysis tools.
2. Data collation via industry specific research tools, websites, publications and contacts.
3. Data sorting and analysis within excel workbooks.
4. Bespoke strategic analysis/research on products and funds.
5. Answer research related queries from clients.
6. Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions and industry contacts (life offices and fund managers).
7. Other general departmental duties when required.
Specific Job Skills:
1. Able to communicate and motivate with both staff and clients via email/fax/letter and the telephone.
2. Good numeracy, attention to detail and experience of data analysis techniques through excel are essential.
3. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads.
Computer Skills: Must be advanced in use of MS Office, particularly Excel, Power-point and Word, Internet and email.
