In this discussion, Phil Young, Director at threesixty, explains how threesixty’s technology developed during 2006 and into 2007.

 

How has the threesixty website developed?

The website has developed rapidly over the past 12 months, incorporating all of our compliance manuals and procedures, every newsletter issued and details on pretty much everything threesixty offer. We added our own free, online quotation service, powered by Assureweb in May and this is available both to users of our Protection Panel, and anyone else who wishes to obtain comparative or single company quotations. A facility for submitting online new business is also included. 

Why are you launching threesixty TV?

With so many of our intermediary clients comfortable and familiar with using the internet we felt that the time was right to launch our own, on demand, news and information channel, in partnership with online media experts, Asset TV.

Content will be updated each week, so there will be plenty for clients to review.

Importantly, a record is kept of each interview clients have watched, and this is available by clicking the CPD button at the top.

Is there any IT based training threesixty will be developing?

We have now completed work on our online testing facility, designed to help advisers demonstrate ongoing competency and allow less experienced staff to take tests as a prelude to further qualifications.  If clients are interested in utilising this service please email technology@threesixtyservices.co.uk and we will be in touch to set this up for them.

How has threesixty embraced “wrap” for clients?

Following a lot of discussion around the general concept of wrap over the past 12 months, threesixty have produced a Guide designed to assist clients in determining which is the best platform for their business, if, indeed any new platform is required.

The guide is broken down into sections which deal with

  • how Wrap can benefit you as an intermediary;
  • how it could benefit your clients;
  • the common pitfalls to avoid when using wraps;
  • how to position Wrap with your clients, including questions around independence;
  • and finally, the questions you should be asking when selecting a Platform for your business

Importantly, threesixty’s advice when considering wrap is to align platforms to the service levels clients wish to deliver, and align each client to a service level.

To assist firms in reviewing each platform threesixty have also produced basic fact sheets on the major platforms which will assist advisers demonstrate that they are keeping the platform marketplace under review.
